GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - Georgetown Police say they have found the vehicle and expect to file charges against the driver in a hit and run that injured three people Sunday morning.

Police located the vehicle and the suspected driver Friday, according to Georgetown Police Capt. Nelson Brown.

The identity of the suspected driver has not yet been released but Brown said charges are expected.

"The Georgetown Police Department would like to thank Georgetown County Deputy Sean Seebode for his assistance in locating the suspect's vehicle and the suspect," a message posted at 4:07 p.m. Friday to the department's Facebook page states. "Officers are out with the suspect at this time obtaining his information as the investigation progresses."

Earlier on Friday, police released photos of a pickup truck involved from surveillance footage. Investigators say it happened Sunday at 8:27 a.m. in the parking lot of the Georgetown Walmart. Three victims were struck and then the driver left the scene, police said.

Surveillance images showed a burgundy-colored pickup truck.
