N. Charleston Police investigating fatal shooting at motel

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police are working to find the gunman who killed a man in a North Charleston motel.

Jesse Weathers, 31, of Mount Pleasant died at a motel in North Charleston according to Deputy Coroner Kimberly Rhoton.

North Charleston officers responded to the Rodeway Inn on Ashley Phosphate Road Saturday morning at approximately 10 a.m. where an unresponsive man had been found, according to North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor.

Officers say they found the man on a bed and say he had been shot.

Pryor said the death is being investigated as a homicide.
