How Charleston Co. libraries are helping residents put issues 'on the table'

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County system of public libraries wants to help people talk about issues in their community. Tuesday, they're providing residents an opportunity to do just that.

The Library Foundation of the Lowcountry is hosting its annual "On The Table" forum, which it says can help elevate civic conversation and inspire collaboration across the area. Small groups can share a snack and discuss the community's challenges with the goal of working together.

Each event Tuesday is expected to run for roughly an hour. You're asked to register at one of the locations below by filling out this form.

  • Otranto Road at 5 pm
  • Dorchester Road Regional Library at Noon
  • Hurd/St. Andrews Regional Branch at 1 pm
  • John's Island Regional Branch at 12 p.m.
  • Main Branch (Meeting Room A) at 9 a.m.
  • Main Branch (Meeting Room A) at 3 p.m.
  • Main Branch (Meeting Room B) at 10 a.m.
  • Main Branch (Meeting Room B) at 12:15 p.m.
