Deputies: Goose Creek man in possession of enough meth to make 280 'typical' doses

MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County deputies arrested a man after investigating a complaint about possible drug activity in Moncks Corner.

David Hudson Evans, Jr., 33, of Goose Creek, was arrested and warrants are pending, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies responded Wednesday night in the area of the Super Walmart where they found a black Chevrolet Tahoe occupied by three people, according to the department's Facebook page.

Investigators say they found a baggie containing 28 gross grams of a white, crystal-like substance that field tested presumptive to be methamphetamines. Deputies say that amount is enough to make 280 typical doses of the narcotic.

Evans was being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
