WILLIAMSTON, SC - Hanahan scored 5 runs in the 1st two innings and held on the rest of the way to win their 2nd straight 3-A state softball championships with a 5-3 win over Palmetto on Thursday night.

The win completed a two game sweep of the best of three state title series after the Hawkettes won game 1 on Monday at home.

Dayton Siegling led the way for Hanahan from the mound throwing a complete game with 3 strikeouts.

Ashley Meckley was the big contributor from the plate with 3 hits, 2 runs scored and an RBI.

The Hawks finish the season at 31-3.
