Thompson-Williams, 23, becomes the first Charleston position player called up to Tampa after crushing the ball in a dominant series in Hagerstown. The Iowa native moves up quickly to the Florida State League after hitting .378 (14-for-37) in just 10 games with Charleston due to a stint on the disabled list.
Trieglaff, 23, becomes the fourth RiverDogs arm to garner promotion this year. The former TCU Horned Frog struck out 18 batters without a walk in eight relief appearances spanning 19 innings to open the year with the Dogs. He posted a 2.08 ERA with four runs (two earned) allowed.
Vidal and Orozco each return after previous stints in the Lowcountry. The Colombian outfielder Vidal, 22, batted .308 (78-for-253) while posting a .359 on-base percentage and one home run in 69 games with Charleston last season, and touched off for the RiverDogs' lone postseason blast in game one of the SAL Division Series. A 20-year-old product from Tucson, Arizona, Orozco made 12 starts for Class A Charleston last year while posting a 4.95 ERA with 38 strikeouts to 34 walks in 56-plus innings.
