BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol says one pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Berkeley County.
The accident happened on Highway 176 near 35-Mile Road in Berkeley County at approximately 2:20 a.m., according to Cpl. Sonny Collins.
Troopers say a minivan struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway.
The pedestrian died from injuries in the accident, Collins said. No one in the vehicle was injured.
No charges are expected to be filed against the driver of the vehicle, he said.
The Berkeley County Coroner has not yet released the identity of the pedestrian struck.
