BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

A man was arrested after a traffic stop in Summerville yielded 398 doses of LSD.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested Christopher Simmons who was charged with trafficking LSD.

On Tuesday, a BCSO K-9 unit was patrolling in the Summerville section of Berkeley County when it came in contact with a 2000 Dodge Neon.

"A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in reference to an equipment violation," BCSO officials said.

Deputies reported smelling marijuana coming from the car.
