BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A man was arrested after a traffic stop in Summerville yielded 398 doses of LSD.
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested Christopher Simmons who was charged with trafficking LSD.
On Tuesday, a BCSO K-9 unit was patrolling in the Summerville section of Berkeley County when it came in contact with a 2000 Dodge Neon.
"A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle in reference to an equipment violation," BCSO officials said.
Deputies reported smelling marijuana coming from the car.
"A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and resulted in 398 'tabs' or doses on four multi-colored sheets," BCSO officials said."The sheets field tested presumptive for LSD. Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) is an extremely dangerous hallucinogen."
Simmons was locked up at the Hill Finklea Detention Center.
