NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Tuesday morning's deadly shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex off Rivers Avenue marked North Charleston's third homicide within a week.

North Charleston police chief Reggie Burgess is bringing awareness to the issue of violence with his marches. He started the trend shortly after he became the new chief and usually marches in the area where a homicide had just occurred the day prior.

Burgess also showed up at the scene of the homicide Tuesday.
