JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -

Deputies say a James Island man has been missing for several days.

Mark Stephen Scott, 52, was last seen on May 31, according to Charleston County Sheriff's Capt. Roger Antonio.

His last date of communication was on Friday, deputies say.

He is missing from his home in the 300 block of Howle Avenue on James Island.

Antonio says he last texted an acquaintance to tell her his vehicle and dog were at an address in the 2200 block of South Dallerton Circle in West Ashley. Deputies say his wallet was also left at the home.

It's not clear what vehicle he may have used when he left the home.

He was last known to be wearing a gray shirt, khaki shorts and brown "crocks." He is 5-foot-8 and weighs 170 pounds.

Anyone with information on Scott's whereabouts is asked to call the Charleston County Sheriff's Office at 843-743-7200 or Det. M. Wilson at 843-529-6203.
