CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Work continues on the Crosstown downtown Charleston, an essential roadway for people coming in, out, and through downtown.
The City of Charleston paid about $3.1 million to contractors doing work on the Spring/Fishburne Drainage Improvement Project in March and April.
The total project is estimated to cost $54 million and includes federal and city funding. Click here for information about each phase.
The city updated information about the project timeline and costs online. The first two phases have been complete.
Workers are currently on Phase 3 of the five-phase project, which has a projected completion of 2020. Phase 4 is expected to be complete in 2021 and Phase 5 is scheduled to be finished in 2022.
