SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County deputies arrested a teen in connection with the Tuesday afternoon shooting of a juvenile.

Bradley Bivens, 18, was apprehended after a felony traffic stop in the Ladson area of the county, according to an incident report.

The arrest stems from a shooting at approximately 3:29 p.m. in the 400 block of Bayonet Drive in Summerville behind the Wind Gate Mobile Home Park. Deputies say a group of witnesses were surrounding the victim. The victim had been shot through the left arm and the bullet re-entered his back, the report states. Deputies were able to get basic information from him and his mother.

Witnesses told deputies the shooter and two other males were driving what they described as a white older model box-style GMC 4-door truck.

Witnesses said they saw the truck pull onto Bayonet Drive and said the witnesses and the three men in the truck got into an argument, but deputies say no one explained what the argument was about.

The report states the primary subject, who investigators believed was Bivens, pulled out a revolver and shot the victim.

Deputies apprehended Bivens and a second male during a felony traffic stop at a Ladson motel after a deputy spotted the vehicle described as having been involved.

Bivens and the second male were transported to the Hill-Finklea Detention Center, but deputies have not specified the charges filed.
