Georgetown Co. deputies searching for fraud suspect

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is looking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in three cases of credit card fraud at businesses in the Pawleys Island area.

Investigators believe the victim's credit card information was stolen from a skimmer device at a gas station in Conway and used to make purchases Friday at the Publix and Bi-Lo grocery store and a Speedway gas station on Ocean Highway.

Officers say the suspect is in his 20's with brownish hair with blond streaks on top. Camera footage at the gas station shows the suspect with another man in a silver 2004-2009 Dodge Durango hiding their activities at a pump.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Georgetown Sheriff's Office at 843-546-5102. Anonymous tips may also be sent by using Text-A-Tip by dialing 274637 from any text enabled cell phone, and text the word "GCSOTIP" followed by your message.
