Police investigating after two people shot in North Charleston

According to police, shortly after 3 p.m., officers responded to the area of Attaway Street and Sumner Avenue for a report of two people who had just been shot. NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Police are investigating after two people were shot in North Charleston Friday afternoon. 

According to police, shortly after 3 p.m., officers responded to the area of Attaway Street and Sumner Avenue for a report of two people who had just been shot.

When officers arrived they found one of the male victims inside of the Corner Store suffering from a gunshot wound to his right forearm. 

Investigators then found the second victim on the roadside on Sumner Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound to his right thigh and foot. 

"The victims were uncooperative with police," said Spencer Pryor with North Charleston PD."A witness was only able to advise officers that a Jeep SUV was observed traveling on Sumner Ave heading towards Dutton St from Attaway St. and may have been involved in the incident. 

The victims were transported to Trident Hospital for treatment.

    Charleston Police say a teen gunman charged with murder fatally shot a 15-year-old moments after that teen shot and killed another 17-year-old at a West Ashley apartment complex.
