NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - A North Charleston man has posted bond after being arrested following a drug bust on Friday.

John Franklin Nixon, 43, was granted a $450,000 dollar bond on eight drug-related charges, according to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.

On Friday at approximately 11:00 a.m., John F. Nixon was arrested after the NCPD, along with SWAT, executed search warrants at 5226 and 5235 Prince Street, according to NCPD spokesperson Spencer Pryor.

The searches revealed approximately 24,344.9 grams of marijuana valued at approximately $244,000.00, 8.5 grams of cocaine, .8 grams of crack cocaine, several firearms, and cash, Pryor said.

Nixon was charged with two counts of distribution of Marijuana, distribution of cocaine, trafficking marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, and possession of a stolen firearm.

Nixon is being held at the Al Connon Detention Center.
