JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -

Deputies have arrested a man accused in a shooting on James Island.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office has charged Steven Ramone Ladson with attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and malicious injury to personal property.

Ladson surrendered to the sheriff's office on Friday.

His charges stem from an incident on June 5 when authorities say Ladson pointed and fired a gun at someone.

According to the sheriff's office, the victim was not hit, but Ladson shot a vehicle causing $200 worth of damage.

Court papers state that deputies found multiple shell casings at the scene and a woman who said some shot her vehicle.

Authorities found bullet fragments in the car and a bullet hole in the upper cushion.
