Deputies searching for couple who took purse containing tourists' passports

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Deputies are searching for two suspects who took a handbag at a Lowcountry McDonald's which contained passports for two tourists.

The incident happened on June 19 at 5:18 p.m.at the McDonald's on North Main Street in Summerville.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office released two pictures of two people they say took the handbag belonging to the tourists from China.

"The bag contained their PASSPORTS and they are not able to leave the country until replacements can be obtained," BCSO officials said.
