Coroner identifies man killed in Ravenel shooting
Deputies are investigating a shooting in Charleston County that left the victim in serious condition.

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities have identified a 31-year-old man who was killed in a shooting in Charleston County.

The Charleston County Coroner's Office says Kory Nason of Hollywood died as a result of injuries he sustained from a gunshot wound.

The shooting happened on June 27 around 5:10 p.m. on McCombs Road in Ravenel.

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is continuing the investigation.

Deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the 4300 block of McCombs Road.

When deputies arrived they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the pelvic area.

According to CCSO officials, the victim died at the scene after first responders attempted to save his life.
