COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Columbia Fire crews are warning drivers in the Broad River Road area to be on the lookout for fire crews who are fighting a woods fire.

The fire has burned about four acres of land in a remote part of the Harbison State Forest.

Columbia Fire says the fire is contained, but those who live in the area may still notice smoke.

Columbia Fire says drivers on Broad River Road near Bob Dorn Road and Lost Creek Drive need to be on alert and watching out for the fire crews in the area.

There are also fire crews in the are who are on standby. Columbia Fire is working with the South Carolina Forestry Commission to contain the blaze.

Officials say bulldozers have been called in to help with the fire suppression efforts as well. Crews have dug fire lines around the fire to keep it contained to the four acres. A second contingency plan is also in place.
