Police charge man with attempted murder after victim found beaten in N. Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - A man has been charged in the apparent beating of a man found in a pool of blood behind a business in North Charleston Tuesday night.

John Henderson, 58, is charged with attempted murder, according to jail records.

Officers responded to the alley behind Wright's Garage around 10 p.m., where they found the victim unconscious and lying in a pool of blood around his head, the incident report states.

Police say the victim was still moving but unconscious. The report states a blunt object was involved but the incident report did not specifically identify the object.

Police spotted Henderson at the scene and arrested him Wednesday afternoon at his apartment, North Charleston Police Deputy Chief Scott Deckard said.
