Power restored to more than 3800 customers in Berkeley County

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Power has been restored to more than 3800 customers in Berkeley County.

According to Berkeley Electric Cooperative officials, the outage affected residents in Moncks Corner.

Officials say there was a lockout in the Strawberry substation at 4:50 p.m. which also caused prompted phone lines to go down.

The cause of the power outage is not known at this time.
