Charleston police officers searching for suspect who robbed Title Max Title Loans

WEST ASHLEY SC (WCSC) - Charleston police officers are searching for a man who robbed a Title Max Title Loans location in West Ashley.

It happened at 6:09 p.m. on 1738 Savannah Hwy.

According to police, the suspect robbed the business at gunpoint and took cash.

"The suspect then fled to the rear of the store where a shot was fired from the suspect toward a witness who was following," CPD officials said.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, between 5'7" and 5'8," 160 to 180 pounds, and wearing a grey/black hoodie style sweatshirt with the hood over his head.

Investigators say he was also wearing blue/gray jeans, black shoes, a red bandana over his mouth, sunglasses, and gray/black gloves.

CPD officials say the suspect was carrying a black and silver semi auto handgun, which he displayed upon entering the store.
