CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Thousands of SCE&G customers have their power restored after an outage throughout North Charleston. The power company says a pulled wire caused two substations to go out.

Up to 13,000 customers in the North Charleston area lost power throughout the day. The company got many customers restored within thirty minutes. Other residents and businesses waited more than three hours for the lights to come back on.

Police directed traffic at the corner Dorchester Road and Ashley Phosphate Road while crews made repairs.
