Bobby Garten is wanted on a charge of Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature. North Charleston Police say 32 year old Garten beat up his girlfriend after an argument at the mobile home on January 29th.
"They were on their way home going on an outing to Walmart, and an argument started in the truck and he began to strike her and beat her while they were driving home," said North Charleston Police Investigator Sam Tillman.
Police say Garten continued to beat his girlfriend when they got home, leaving her with serious injuries.
"Blunt force trauma to the face and head," Tillman said. "He wanted to get high and she wasn't going to give him any money, so that's what the argument stemmed from."
Cops say to add insult to injury, Garten took the victim's car. They later found it wrecked in Colleton county."
Garten has a long criminal record that covers three states. He is wanted in Georgia for a Probation Violation.
"Probably if cornered you should call the authorities if spotted or see him, and let us take care of him," Tillman warned. "He should be considered dangerous."
Bobby Garten may be hiding out in the Round O community of Colleton County.
