NICE WEEKEND AHEAD! MARIA SHOULD STAY OUT TO SEA!
Just a couple of pop-up showers possible into Friday or early Saturday, otherwise nice. Highs Friday in the upper 80's with partly sunny skies and only a 20% chance. By the weekend, slightly cooler and drier air will be building in especially into Sunday and Monday. Look for a mix of sunshine and clouds this weekend with highs in the mid 80's.
We're keeping a close eye on the tropics this week with Hurricane's Jose and Maria in the Atlantic Basin. Hurricane Jose continues to weaken and sit south of New England. Please use caution if you are heading to the beaches. Jose will likely brush the Northeast coastline with rough surf, wind and some rain. Hurricane Maria is forecast to stay out to sea but bring heavy surf and dangerous rip currents to the beaches. Stay with LIVE 5 FIRST ALERT WEATHER for continuous updates.
