ABOVE AVERAGE HEAT FOR THE FIRST WEEKEND OF SUMMER
The heat will stick around with us through the weekend, with highs in the mid 90's and heat indices 105+ in a few areas. Be sure to stay hydrated and limit your time outdoors as heat exhaustion is very possible in the current environment. Expect sunshine both days, but there is a small chance of an afternoon storm or shower each day.
Monday will be just as hot as the weekend, but some relief is on the way! A cold front will move through the area Monday into Tuesday, which will bring in higher rain chances and slightly lower temperatures. Highs will return to normal, in the upper 80's, on Tuesday with the chance of rain and storms as the front moves away from us. We'll clear and heat up once again for the end of the work week with the slight chance of PM scat'd showers or storms.
TONIGHT: Muggy and warm, mostly dry, LOW: 78.
SATURDAY: HOT and sunny, heat index around 105 in spots, slight chance of a PM storm, HIGH: 95, LOW: 77.
SUNDAY: Dangerous heat possible – heat index possibly higher than 105. Limit time outdoors. Sunny with the slight chance of a PM storm. HIGH: 96, LOW: 78.
MONDAY: Partly sunny and hot, chance of storms or showers, HIGH: 96, LOW: 75.
TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy with showers and storms, slight lower temps, HIGH: 89, LOW: 73.
