GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County Coroner Office has identified the victims killed in a shooting Saturday evening.

Oslen Patton was pronounced dead on the scene and his wife, 37-year-old Rashad Patton, was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to Coroner Bill Salisbury.

Oslen Patton’s death has been ruled a suicide and Rashad Patton’s death has been ruled as a homicide, Salisbury said.

On Saturday, police responded to the murder-suicide shooting in the 200 block of Samantha Way, according to Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Major Jeremy Baker.

The call came in at approximately 5:15, BCSO said.

Deputies arrived to find two victims in the yard, BCSO said. One person was already dead.

The shooting is being investigated by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
