Annual Shrine Bowl ends in 10-10 tie

(WCSC) - The 82nd annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas ended in a 10-10 tie Saturday afternoon at Gibbs Stadium at Wofford College in Spartanburg.
South Carolina started the scoring in the first quarter. Davis Beville (Greenville) found Quend Jefferson (Hillcrest) for a 45-yard touchdown to give SC a 7-0 lead.
North Carolina tied the game in the second quarter as Zonovan Knight broke a 61-yard touchdown run.
Matthew Hayes gave North Carolina a 10-7 lead going into halftime with a 19-yard field goal.
Michael Hayes (West Florence) booted thru a field goal of his own to tie the game late in the fourth quarter.
Fort Dorchester’s Davon Gilmore had 7 total tackles, including one tackle for a loss while Berkeley’s D.J. Chisolm caught 2 passes for 25 yards.
