NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston Police brought smiles to several students face this holiday season during their “Kids and Cops” event.
On Saturday, North Charleston Police treated 70 children to breakfast with Santa.
Each child also received a $150 shopping card to Walmart.
The students were selected by school guidance counselors to be paired with a police officer for the day.
“Every year I get to see bonds and bridges built between officers and students that might not get built otherwise,” said sargent James Camp.
The departmented thanked Liquid Box, Walmart, Charleston County Sheriff Al Cannon and East Bay Deli for supporting the event.
