CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -A North Charleston man charged with rape and kidnapping a woman in Aug. 2018 is also connected to a incident that happened 12 years ago, according to an affidavit.
Maurice J. Prioleau is now also charged with an incident that included a kidnapping and rape in Sept. 2006, according to police spokesman Spencer Pryor, who described Prioleau as a “violent rapist”.
The affidavit reports Prioleau forcibly tied the victim with a scarf behind her back while he sexually assaulted her against her will in Sept. 2006. Prioleau also forced the woman to perform oral sex on him, the report states.
The incident took place at 225 Dunlap St. lot in Charleston County, the affidavit states.
He surrendered to police in Sept. 2018 for raping a woman and forcing the victim into his car at knife-point. Prioleau was denied bond on two charges and given a $300,000 bond on a robbery charge. In the 2018 incident, Prioleau also threatened to kill the woman if she didn’t perform oral sex on him, the affidavit states.
