Man arrested after allegedly stealing donation jar, equipment from hardware store

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - A man has been arrested after police say he stole a donation jar and hardware equipment from a James Island hardware store.
On December 15, 39-year-old Dameon Lavalle Washington took equipment and a donation jar from the All Seasons True Value on Folly Beach Road, according to an affidavit.
On December 17, upon reviewing surveillance footage, store employees contacted the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office.
The Pet Helpers Animal Clinic donation jar contained $150, court documents say.
Washington was arrested and charged with shoplifting.
