CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A JetBlue flight from New York to Florida made an unscheduled stop in Charleston Tuesday night.

JetBlue flight 883 from New York’s JFK Airport was diverted to Charleston International Airport after a passenger experienced a medical issue while on board, according to JetBlue spokesman Philip Stewart.

An EMS crew met the flight and the aircraft continued to Orlando, he said.

There was no immediate word on the passenger’s condition.

According to FlightAware, the plane arrived in Charleston at 6:42 p.m., then departed for Orlando at 8 p.m.
