City of Charleston kicks off 47th annual MLK celebration Tuesday

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The city of Charleston will host a celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.'s 90th birthday on Tuesday and kick off the city’s 10-day celebration for him.

The 10-day celebration is considered the largest in the state for the slain civil right’s leader.

It begins at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the city council chambers on the second floor of 80 Broad Street.
