FIRST ALERT TRAFFIC: Vehicle fire shuts down EB lane of I-526 near Long Point Rd.

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - One eastbound lane of I-526 has reopened after a vehicle fire blocked traffic at the Long Point Road exit.

Mount Pleasant Police reported the fire at 1:50 p.m. Shortly after 2:05 p.m., the left eastbound lane of I-526 opened.

FIRST ALERT TRAFFIC: One Eastbound lane of I-526 is closed because of a vehicle fire. Exit 28, the Long Point Road exit, is blocked.

The right lane and Exit 28 remained closed with law enforcement and fire crews still on the scene.
