N. Charleston Police: Drive-by shooting suspect extradited from Georgia

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police say the second suspect arrested in a shooting that killed a man in the parking lot of a manufacturing plant has been extradited from Georgia.

Jamal Dwayne Smalls Jr. was extradited back to Charleston on Friday and is currently being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center, NCPD spokesperson Spencer Pryor says.

Smalls was arrested in Atlanta, G.A. on Tuesday morning for a murder that took place on March 14 in the parking lot of Cummins Turbo Plan on Palmetto Commerce Parkway.

The victim, 25-year-old Damien Stokes, died as a result of his injuries, officials say.

North Charleston police also arrested Ishmal Weston on April 12.
