GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Investigators are seeking to identify a suspect who was caught on video during an armed robbery at a Goose Creek Circle K.

It happened at the store on 215 Redbank Rd. on Tuesday around 1:20 a.m.

Goose Creek police say the suspect was armed with a black handgun, and fled on foot from the scene.

According to a report, video obtained from the Circle K show the suspect who is described as a black male, 5′2," 110 pounds, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black baseball hat, grey gloves, and a dark colored bandanna over his face.

Police officer responds to Circle K

The investigation began when an officer responded to the Circle K for an armed robbery.

The victim said she had just finished serving one of her regular customers when the suspect who was wearing a hoodie with the hood on his head walked into the store.

The victim said when she told the suspect that hoods were not allowed in the store, she saw the suspect had a black bandanna with white marking on it covering the lower portion of his face, and he was armed with a black hand gun.

Police say the suspect then walked to the counter and pointed the weapon at her and demanded money. According to police, after the suspect demanded money from underneath the drawer, which the victim said there wasn’t any money, the suspect mentioned a safe and said the store had one.

A report states the victim then handed plastic tubes for depositing money into the safe to the suspect.

The suspect grabbed then grabbed a tube which had money in it and backed out of the store with the gun pointed at the employee.

The suspect then walked out of the store towards Parish Road.

Authorities conducted a K-9 track which ended in the roadway of the 200 block of Old Back River Road.
