GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - Police say they are investigating after an intoxicated man crashed his vehicle into several other vehicles at a Lowcountry neighborhood.

Georgetown police say officers responded to the 2600 block of Old Charleston Road in reference to a shots fired call.

When officers arrived they saw several mailboxes and cars damaged.

“Officers found an intoxicated individual had crashed his vehicle into several other vehicles,” GPD officials said.

A report states it is believed that at some point a homeowner fired a gun. The driver is in custody.

Police are continuing the investigation.
