2 injured in bar shooting in Columbia’s Five Points district

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - Two people were injured in a shooting in Columbia’s Five Points district early Sunday morning.
According to the Columbia Police Department, the shooting happend inside The Cotton Gin, located at 632 Harden Street, shortly before 2 a.m. Two people in their early-20s were injured in the lower body, but are expected to be OK.
UofSC Police, who are assisting CPD in their investigation, said the suspect fled the area after the incident. Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance video and a suspect has not been named at this time.
The UofSC campus-based Twitter account Drinking Ticket first shared information about the shooting early Sunday.
