FIRST ALERT: All severe watches dropped for the Lowcountry

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - All severe thunderstorm watches for the Lowcountry have ended.

This follows after an afternoon of storms that passed through the area Sunday afternoon.

Numerous counties in the Lowcountry had been in the affected areas for the watch which was initially to end at 9 p.m. but ended around 6:30 p.m.

The Live 5 First Alert Weather Team declared Sunday a First Alert Weather Day because of the potential for severe weather as the cold front moves into the area.
