MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) - Berkeley County deputies arrested a man Wednesday in Moncks Corner who was wanted in Michigan since 2012.

Muhammed Baldeh faces charges of forcible sexual assault and sodomy of a child under the age of 10 years old.

Deputies and the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force located the 29-year-old after receiving tips that he was in the area. Investigators confirmed he was living and working in the area, deputies say.

Baldeh was arrested without incident and deputies say the arrest fell on Baldeh’s birthday.

He was booked into the Hill-Finklea Detention Center and is awaiting extradition to Michigan.
