Shelby Rogers falls in French Open 2nd round

PARIS (WCSC) - Shelby Rogers run in the French Open came to an end on Wednesday morning with a 3-set loss to 28th seed Carla Saurez Navarro.

The Lowcountry native dropped the first set 6-1 before storming back to claim the 2nd set in a tiebreaker, 7-6. But Rogers didn’t have enough for the final set falling 6-3.

The day wasn’t a total loss for Shelby as she and Monica Puig picked up a win in the 1st round of the doubles draw.
