MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – A father and his 10-year-old child were rescued Saturday morning after storms pushed their paddleboards out far from shore.
According to a tweet from the Myrtle Beach Fire Department, the rescue happened at 67th Avenue North.
Other paddleboarders tried to assist. The driver of a boat was able to provide assistance until MBFD rescue swimmers could reach the two, first responders said.
No injuries were reported.
