FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating Sunday after a child was killed following a car accident.

The Florence County Coroner’s Office says an 18-month-old girl died after being hit by a car in the parking lot of a church between Vox Highway and Highway 341 in Johnsonville Sunday at 12:50 p.m.

Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified the girl as Khloe Chandler. She died in the hospital after the incident.

Her body will be sent to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston for an autopsy.
