CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - An information technology service is bringing more innovation jobs to the Lowcountry.
eGroup announced it plans to expand its corporate headquarters in Charleston County.
The new facility will service in addition to their current headquarters on Wando Park Boulevard.
"Charleston County offers the right blend of business advantages and quality of life for our people, and for close to 20 years, eGroup has been proud to be a leader and contributor within our community," eGroup CEO Mike Carter said.
The company plans to build a new 18,000-square foot facility. They say the $6.3 million investment will create 35 jobs in the county.
Construction on the new facility is expected to be completed in fall 2020.
eGroup provides IT services to clients in healthcare, finance, public safety and public government sectors.
For nearly 20 years, the company has helped businesses through methods resulting in hybrid cloud solutions to improve efficiency. eGroup provides its services to more than 300 clients across 31 states.
