WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Authorities are investigating after three people were shot in Kingstree Monday night.
According to the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office, it happened at the Green Acres subdivision and happened just after 10:30 p.m.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing. The status of the victims is not known.
On Monday night, deputies responded to the 100 block of Quail Street for a shooting.
When deputies arrived they found one of the victims who had been shot in the leg, and another victim with an injury to their right finger.
“One victim was transported by EMS to a medical facility, and the other victim was transported by family members to a medical facility to be treated for their injuries,” WCSO officials said.
Deputies were also told of another gunshot victim who was transported in a personal vehicle to the hospital.
The sheriff’s office said an investigation revealed that an unknown suspect pulled up in a vehicle and asked for someone.
“After asking for the individual, the suspect exited the vehicle and began waving a gun and then started shooting at several individuals standing in the yard,” the sheriff’s office said.
The suspect then left the scene. The motive of the incident is unknown at this time, deputies said.
