Berkeley Animal Center at max capacity, officials asking for foster families
Officials with the Berkeley Animal Center say the shelter is at max capacity.

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - An animal shelter in Berkeley County says it is at max capacity and currently can’t take in any more animals.

In a Facebook post, the animal center wrote that because of the overwhelming number of strays and “owner surrenders," the shelter is not accepting any more owner surrenders until further notice.

The center is also asking the public for foster families to come forward and take in animals if possible.
