Police: 13-year-old pedestrian injured in Hwy 61 crash

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A 13-year-old was injured in an auto-pedestrian crash on Thursday night on Hwy 61.

Officers responded to the crash between the teenager and a Mazda 5 traveling north on Ashley River Road near Ashley Hall Plantation Road around 10:50 p.m.

The teenager was transported to MUSC and is currently in stable condition, according to Charleston police LT. Kristy McFadden.

No criminal charges have been filed at this time. The investigation into this collision is on-going; and any persons with information or witnesses to the collision are asked to call Consolidated Dispatch at 843-743-7200
