NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A gas station clerk in North Charleston was robbed at gunpoint late Thursday night, according to North Charleston police.

Officers responded to the robbery at the “Complete Corner” in the 4500 block of Spruill Avenue around 10:30 p.m.

They met with the store clerk, who told them that a person walked into the store with a gun and demanded money from two cash registers.

The clerk said he emptied both registers and gave the suspect cash, according to department spokeswoman Karley Ash.
