Police investigating attempted robbery of armored car at Northwoods Mall

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Police are investigating an attempted robbery of an armored car at Northwoods Mall Friday night.
North Charleston police say it happened at 6:15 p.m. when three suspects approached a Garda armored car.
According to police, one of the three suspects attempted to grab a bag from one of the guards who then hit one of the suspects.
The three then fled on foot, police said.
Police are continuing the investigation.
