COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - One person died Tuesday morning in a crash on 17A in Colleton County.
Around 6:10 a.m., a Mercury Marquis was driving south while a Crysler Pacifica was headed north on the highway near Trout Lane.
The driver of the Mercury, who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, then crossed the center line and hit the Crysler, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Matt Southern.
The driver of the Crysler was wearing a seatbelt and wasn’t injured. The driver of the Mercury was killed, according to Southern.
The crash is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
